Do any of you think that you could have come up with a better way to transfur Jews to Sweden?
~Susanne~

Susanne some jews hid in peoples houses and waited for the war to end like Anne Frank. Also Jews just didn't go to Sweden the majority went to America because Sweden was part of Europe and at anytime they could be invaded. The bad thing is that America didn't let a lot of immigrants come in from Ellis Island like my Dad's grandma. My question is would you support your friend if they were jewish and you lived in Europe and help them escape?
-Jonah

I think I would because if I never saw my friend again I would miss them and would be very lonely and forget what their faces looked like. I would be bored and I wouldn't have any one else to play with. That has happened to me a lot when my friends moved to korea from America. It was very hard making new friends and at the end of the school year I am moving again and miss my old friends. But instead of me moving I am moving this time. My question is if you were helping someone to saftey that you did not like would you help them?-Yong-ho

For me it kind of depends on why I disliked them if it was for somthing stopid of course I'd help them! If It was for somthing a little more serouis like they bullyed me or somthing I would still help them but I might not be as much of a help. It all depends on trust, you can tell Ellen and Annemarie trust each other when Elen trust's Annemarie with her neckless. If I didn't trust the person i could help and they didn't trust me I wouldn't be able to help them much. But if I trusted the person and they trusted me I would be able to help them a lot. Do you think the people who excaped were happy or do you think they felt gilty because so many died as they lived?-Melissa

I think they would have felt both ways. They would be happy because they would have escaped from the Nazis. They would also probably feel a bit guilty for not trying to help some other jews escape. I think they would be a bit scared to after they escaped. The Nazis might try and hunt them down.

I would not feel gilty but I would
definetly feel sad that all of thoes people died but why would you feel gilty if there was nothing you could do then thats that. know that I would definetly be scared if I ws trying to escape because if I or anyone got caulght that would be a one way ticket to consontration camp. I wonder if thoes hankerchiefs actuwuly worked?Myles

Mellissa,

I think the people who escaped were very happpy to get away from the Nazies. Maybe some of them would feel guilty because they left a friend or relative behind. Here is my qusetion: Would you be scared if you were Jewish and were running away to somewhere like Sweeden? Nesma

I would be scared, Nesma, because I would know that if the Nazis found me, I would be dead. But I would also be glad because I had a pretty good chance of escaping to Sweden if I had friends near by that would help me. If I did escape, though, I would be glad to give thanks to the people that helped me. No thanks is big enough for them! ~Susanne~
